The Author

Fred A. Granata is a Portland lawyer and member of a family who
have been parishioners of St. Michael's since 1906. He received his
Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Jurisprudence degrees at the
University of Oregon and is on the volunteer staff of the
Oregon Historical Society. His special interest is local history,
particularly that related to Portland's Italian colony.
