College Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry at St. Michael's is a ministry to the students, faculty, and staff of Portland State University. We strive to provide for the pastoral, academic, sacramental and ecumenical needs of those in the campus community. Our Ministry Center (the Newman Center) is located on the second floor of the parish offices. It is a place where students and other members from campus can relax, meet others, eat lunch & study – a home away from home. Glenn Rymsza is the Director of the Newman Center and is available at 503 419-7473. Stop by anytime or schedule and appointment.

The heart of Campus Ministry is our Newman Club students. At PSU we are known as the Catholic Student Association. The Newman Club is a group where students and young adults can form friendships, pray together, learn more about Catholicism, and challenge and support one another to live out their faith. Our activities include weekly meetings for prayer, sharing and discussion, Mass, retreats, social service projects, bible studies, and fun events. All are welcome!
