Why do you want to be a Mercy Missionary? I want to become a Mercy missionary because of the connections I’ve made with the friends on the streets through Mercy Nights. These individuals need God's love poured into their lives, and there’s no better place to do this than in the heart of Portland. The quote by Mother Teresa, “Give your hands to serve and your hearts to love,” reminds me to offer my whole self to others with compassion and love, especially those who often feel invisible.

What are your hopes for this missionary year? I have a firm hope that the Lord will use me as His servant, to care for these individuals and build lasting relationships.

What are your favorites?
Saint: I can’t choose a favorite, but I deeply admire St. Francis of Assisi for his profound love and respect for all of God’s creation.
