GET INVOLVED
Ways to Serve With Us
Mercy Nights
Every 1st and 3rd Thursday, October through June, we invite others to join us as we bring hot soup out to those living on the streets. The soup is an excuse for a conversation, as we try to get to know those whom we serve. There is no commitment beyond the individual Mercy Night. Interested? Sign up here to be added to the email list.
Lunch by the Water
Every Thursday and Friday, all year round, we serve a hot lunch to our friends under the west side of the Hawthorne Bridge at 12:30pm. You don’t need to sign up; you can just show up at 12:15 as we set up, then join us for prayer and lunch service and conversation with our friends.
Shadow for a Day
Do you want to see what a Mercy Missionary lives? You can join them for a day-in-the-life experience, taking part in their prayer life, community life, and mission. To schedule a time, contact Sr. Teresa (you can link to my email).
Short-term Experience
For young adults who want a fuller experience of Mercy Missionary life, we provide the opportunity throughout the year to come for several days of mission, including living in the Mercy Missionary community. You participate in the rhythm of life of the Mercy Missionaries and in all their activities. If you are interested, please contact Sr. Teresa (link to email).
Summer Mercy Immersion (High School)
Beginning in the summer of 2026, the Mercy Missionaries will receive up to 12 high school juniors/seniors for a week of Summer Mercy Immersion. Students will live in the Mercy Missionary homes, participate in prayer, formation, mission, and community. Dates and details will be posted here by December. Interested high school students can fill out the short application here. (Link to a form—I will think of the questions a bit later on)
