Why do you want to be a Mercy Missionary? I am not exactly sure why God has called me so boldly to this mission, but I know obedience comes before understanding. I enjoy spending time with the friends out on the streets and I feel peace in being able to love them and be there for them even if it’s just for a moment. I have tasted and seen of the goodness of the Lord, and I believe no one is exempt from experiencing his transformative love. Jesus said in John 4:14 “…but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
My cup is overflowing… I must share with my friends! It is a privilege that I get to be a servant of the Lord right here at home to the ones that need it the most.
What hopes do you have for this year of mission? My hope for the mission is to be able to go out on the streets and to reflect the love of Jesus to whoever the Father wants me to meet. Whether the love is accepted or not, I know all encounters will be on purpose and I will pray for them. My hope is not to change or correct anyone but to make them feel less alone/invisible and way more loved, seen and cared for!
