Please join us as we gather together as St. Michael's parish for the current Lent 40 Days for Life vigil on Saturday, March 16, 9:30–11 a.m.
We will be meeting in the parish hall at 9:30 a.m. and will walk to the 511 Building together while praying the rosary. You can also meet directly there at 10 a.m. We will be there for one hour until 11 a.m. with other 40 Days for Life leaders and advocates from our community.
The Portland 40 Days for Life location is late-term abortion facility, Lilith Clinic, in the 511 Building at 511 SW 10th Ave. It is less than one mile from St. Michael's and is a 20-minute walk or 5-minute drive. 40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion locally through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and a peaceful vigil in front of abortion businesses. These campaigns have proven to work and save lives. We have confirmation that our presence at Lilith Clinic is making a difference and saving lives. Planned Parenthood announced at a national conference, "Our no-show rate goes up to 75% when people are outside our clinics praying."
Please join us and be the voice for the voiceless and most vulnerable in our community. The time is now to help Portland turn towards a culture of life.
