Saint John Henry Newman once wrote to the laity:
"I want a laity, not arrogant, not rash in speech, not disputatious, but men who know their religion, who enter into it, who know just where they stand... I want an intelligent and well-instructed laity. I wish you to enlarge your knowledge, to cultivate your reason, to get an insight into the relation of truth..."

That call is just as urgent today. The Church needs Catholics who are both well-formed in their faith and on fire for the Gospel.

Five years ago, the Saint John Society launched the Certificate in Evangelization (CE) to meet this need. The program consists of six online courses completed over two years, designed to deepen your theological understanding and equip you for mission.

We invite you to consider joining the program. Our upcoming course is called “Kerygma: Entering and Sharing the Christian Story.” Fr. Ignacio Llorente will be the instructor and it starts on Thursday September 24, 2026.
