ABOUT THE COURSE
St. Ignatius gave us a set of rules to better hear God’s will for us and how to make decisions in our daily life accordingly.  These simple guidelines help to recognize, understand and respond to the movements of our hearts and minds, and ultimately grow closer to God. This for anyone who is trying to love the Lord, sincerely tries to live out God’s teaching and is trying to grow in prayer.

Participants do not need any materials or prep work, but the topics mirror Fr. Timothy Gallagher’s Book, “The Discernment of Spirits: An Ignatian Guide for Everyday Living” in case participants want to have the book to follow along.

Here is the website Danielle will be referencing: Discerning Hearts podcasts by Fr. Timothy Gallagher about the Discernment of Spirits.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Danielle has been involved with the Saint John Society since their early days at St. Patrick’s church, having first encountered them through the Alpha program. She graduated with an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and spent 20 years in the business world. But her heart was with the poor, and so she transitioned to a role as housing specialist & case manager in various Portland shelters. She feels blessed to bring her business acumen, social services experience and love for Jesus to this role for St. Michael's parish.  She recently completed certificate in spiritual direction from the Avila Institute.
